The Russian by James Patterson and James O. Born — 344 pages

James Patterson has written a crazy number of books. This is the second “Detective Michael Bennett” novel I’ve read and I enjoyed it in one sitting. The mystery is well planned and has some nice twists, but my favorite part of these books is the personal life of Michael Bennett. He is a widower with ten adopted children and has become engaged to a lovely Irish lass with the name of Mary Catherine. It’s an unlikely scenario, but certainly fun to read. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series.
