Death by Cashmere and Patterns in the Sand by Sally Goldenbaum — 294 pages

These are the first two of a series of novels by the author. They are a fun and easy read. There are four main characters who have formed a knitting group that meets every Thursday night. Inevitably, there is a murder early in the book, the police have a convenient suspect, and the knitters dig in and figure things out. I’ve enjoyed these because they are set on the East Coast and involve a skill I don’t have.
